In the 1930's, it was unheard of to see working women home businesses. It was the man's role to take care of the women for financial needs. The women or wife took care of the house, cleaning, cooking and taken care of the children.
During World War II, the roles for women were changing. Women were needed in the work force as the men were off fighting the war for our country. Some women like Doris Christopher are founders of their own companies. Doris is the founder of Pampered Chef. She started her business from her home. Pampered Chef is a perfect example of jobs created for women who want to work from home. The only exception with the Pampered Chef is that woman must go outside of the house to do her sales for the company. Hundreds of Thousands of women are seeking their own working women home businesses. There are several home based businesses like the Pamper Chef, Avon, Mary Kay and Arbornne, but are these actually home based businesses? You have to go out of the home to actually make your sales and you will also need to host home parties to demonstrate your products. This to me does not sound like the most ideal HOME BASED BUSINESSES that most women are looking for. A lot of women now days are looking for a home based businesses that they do not have to leave the house in order to make an income.
